CranioSacral Therapy – Natural Healing Ability.

Craniosacral Therapy enhances the body’s own natural capacity to heal and has been trying to come into my practice for a while now. I remember whenever I would hear the word, my ears would “perk up.” I watched videos about the Alta Major chakra (the occiput region at the base of the skull), and someone referred to it as the “Mouth of God”… I was hooked ever since.

I became even more spine obsessed through my three levels of Yin Yoga teacher training. That has added to my love of Craniosacral therapy and the importance of the cerebral spinal fluid that flows through our spinal cord and brain. Stagnation of the flow, therefore, can cause issues throughout the entire body.

I love the blending of the two worlds. I believe this is the ultimate approach to healing. We are energetic beings living in this physical body; we need both.

CranioSacral Therapy is done using a very light touch that helps to release tensions deep in the body and improves the overall system as well as very specific issues. It is founded on the belief that the body is a self-correcting mechanism and has an innate ability to heal itself.

CranioSacral therapy includes facilitating and enhancing the body’s own natural capacity to heal when processes have overwhelmed the system. The focus is the central nervous system and its impact on the functions of our body; CranioSacral therapy works on the soft tissues and fluid that protect your brain and spinal cord. This allows the central nervous system to work at its optimal while reducing pain and stress and strengthening resistance to disease as well as enhancing health and well-being.

This is done in a very relaxing atmosphere to allow for complete relaxation and unwinding of your nervous system to occur!

In whole-body healing, we need to consider all parts of our system; we are not separate. The body needs the respect it deserves for all it does for us; it needs a break! We push and push without taking the time to replenish and reconnect and then wonder why we are not well.

So it is through working in a whole-body approach that we can work to calm the nervous system and allow the body to come back into homeostasis in order to function at its optimum.

The breath is overlooked but the basis for all healing; we will work on that too! Learn more

Get out of your head and into your body and let’s see what the system knows how to do.
